We’ve touched on 1984 a couple of times–probably because it’s endured remarkably well as far as works of dystopian futures go. The Handmaid’s Tale? Eh. Brave New World? Not so much (and I prefer BNW to ’84). But 1984…Orwell nailed something when he wrote it, that’s for sure. It’s a veritable aquifer of humor.

And of course, it was ripe for the lolterature treatment. Panel 2 is my favorite–a meme that fits perfectly with the themes of the work being lolified. And trust me, we don’t mess around when it comes to meme research. We’re from the internet.
