Congratulations to Alex “Tuba Fett” Baratta, winner of our comic contest! Alex’s inspired this comic and he’ll be featured in a cameo on Wednesday. Thanks to all our excellent entrants–and for those of you who submitted, do keep your eyes peeled–there are a couple ideas that are probably going to make it into our comics down the road and credit will be given where credit is due.
This reminds me a lot of the really early strips for our comic, in structure at least. Cold open, zany setup, bizarro punchline. And the lingering concept of a virus that turns people into Rambos. There’s your daily Monday dose of weirdness, folks.

A big “grats” to Alex! And thanks to EVERYONE who entered the contest! Look for more 4H community events in the future. Who knows, we may even offer a REAL prize some day!
Oh, Nerf weaponry… how I love thee. Though I’ve never owned more than a sturdy Maverick myself, this is one line of toys that I hope never ever goes away. For Nerf aficionados, War is wielding a Raider CS-35, while Pestilence has the classic Ballzooka (as made famous in the Bubsy Bobcat games)
And as a final note, I’ve pondered the topic of conversation in panel 1 on occasion ever since learning in high school biology that Viruses may or may not be life forms.
Am I the only one that likes the nerf longshot… i think it is an ez fix to add a CO2 cartridge for actual distance
NICE good execution of my shear brilliance. I am partial to the Nerf Recon CS-6 i actually custom painted my own. Thanks for this cant wait to see the featured one.
Ted looks like Beaker in the last frame, lol.
So many darts! I see you gave War the fancy-pantsy Nerf gun.
