Discrete skeet

Skeet Week remains one of our most tenuously coherent theme series, and its origins have been lost in the murky depths of my ability to recollect. I believe it started out as a single joke about the guys shooting skeet at the pottery/crafts place where Ted worked (and worked only for the duration of this one strip, as evidence proves), but then on a whim I penned another couple of skeet-related jokes and we had the makings of an arc.

What? There’s an obscene slang meaning for the word “skeet?” No, that’s impossible. No such thing has ever existed.

The first strip of Skeet Week was actually inspired by my brief term of employment at Jo Anne Fabric, where our manager encouraged us to have some fun with the broken pots before disposing of them.
