I have a feeling I am firmly out of its target audience, but if I happen to turn to it while it’s on, Antiques Roadshow is pretty interesting to watch. I have to wonder what it will be like in eighty years or so…will people show up with copies of Windows Me? Old 286 machines? 8 inch floppy drives? Sega Game Gears? I could go on in this vein but you get the idea.

Related, however, is my near-certainty that anyone showing up to the 2089 Antiques Roadshow with an original copy of the Star Wars Christmas Special, not a VHS redub, will have that sucker appraised at a mint. And George Lucas will be too dead to care about it unless he’s a cyborg, in which case we will have to watch out.
