As a rule, baby animals are adorable–even where their adult counterparts are decidedly not. I have a feeling this rule holds into the realm of the fictional. Imagine, for a moment, the baby unicorn, phoenix, or yeti. Such creatures are, at least in my mind’s eye, delightful. Even the thought of a tiny kraken, mothman or Jersey Devil fails to produce revulsion.

Or possibly this is just some sort of dwarf sphinx (as in, dwarfism, not in hi-ho and chop-your-knees-with-an-axe) that’s every bit as dangerous as a fully-sized one, and the guys are being played the fool. How will we know the truth? The answer shall come Friday!
