Remember Skip-It? Those things were lethal! But as with most toys, the Skip-It clearly had its origins in failed medieval weaponry.

I want to say that the Skip-It and American-era Pokemon occupied mutually exclusive niches in (space-)time, if only separated by a few years. I just don’t remember seeing a skip-it after 1995…

Anyway, enough pooping on the party. I think I can suspend my disbelief.
