I went through Joe’s post and linkified all the characters we used, so you can go through and read more about them and/or their respective universes! Go learn yourself a book.
The process for figuring out what some of the characters would be this Halloween was tricky. Some of them, like Conquest (and at the moment, myself) are “goatee dependent” costumes. War’s costume is constrained by his massive size (so a space marine suit works nicely for him). Death’s is constrained by his omnipresent face-shading (the television visage of T-O-E was a nice workaround for this).
Pestilence, though, was an absolute masterstroke. Joe had the idea and I think he hit it out of the park I’m at a loss as to how we can do a better costume for Pest. Hope you guys like all the work Joe put into this–see you on Monday!
Ultramarines–accept no substitutes.
And yeah, Tim–when I realized I could be Vetinari I was pretty thrilled.
Haha, great costume choices. I especially enjoy the Metroid/Pestilence and the Lord Ventinari. DIscworld needs all the love it can get.
Also, I’m glad War is a space marine, because it’s an awesome costume idea that he could totally pull off. But you just had to choose smurf marines, didn’t you?
I was concerned that Enigma’s bra and collar were slave Leia-like, but luckily that’s not her costume.
Answer: Mordecai from Borderlands.
I made the handy reference guide post for a reason, Justin -_-
But jup! Dave and I basically sat down and said “What comic hero has a totally sweet goatee beard?”
…Is that the Green Arrow?
