Give War something to build, and he’ll go to it. Consider that he has the muscle of a dozen mortal men, so every time you hear a “hammer” or a “sand” from him, he’s driving a nail in a single, brutal stroke, or sanding a square-foot sized section of wood with a single pass.
There’s a couple other things about this comic that strike me as rather strange…I’m still not certain why we always have to cast Death’s face in shadow. It’s the kind of thing that by now, I’m so used to it I don’t particularly want to change it (mostly because it fulfills our desire for ridiculous hats in every situation possible). Death does have eyes, though you see them very rarely. I suppose every portrayal of death has its oddities–Bergman’s Death had that weird cowl, Gaiman’s Death had the little mark under her eye. Perhaps we’re entitled.
