Sibling rivalry, an ordinarily powerful force, is overwhelming as far as the horsemen go. That Conquest would need to do some contract killing and wouldn’t hire Death for the job is a real slap in the face! After a couple millennia being the force of death a guy gets attached to the position and the bennies that come with it.

Judging by the next comic, the situation between Death and Enigma is quickly diffused off-panel and between-comics.
